Recommended Products - Flashlights

A flashlight is an extremely versatile tool to have on hand for many different reasons. Let me share with you a couple of my favorites!

Flashlights

I own several Surefire and Streamlight flashlights of various designs, but here are my favorites:

• Surefire E2D LED Tactical

  • This flashlight is very powerful (1000 lumens), has a scalloped face for striking if necessary, and best of all is fairly narrow. I carry this flashlight everyday, and it comes in handy constantly. The light is bright enough to illuminate any room to near daylight levels, and the brightness can also be used as a defensive tool to break contact in a self-defense situation. This flashlight is not cheap, but mine has taken an absolute beating and still runs as new.
    

• Streamlight ProTac HL-X

  • I have two of these Streamlights at home. They are super bright as well, and I have them staged around the house for when you need a nice, bright flashlight. My wife loves that they are a smaller size than my monster Maglight of old, and yet they out-perform it. These can easily be kept handy in a drawer, on top of the fridge, etc. I originally bought them for daily carry, but they are just a little too wide in my opinion to be good pocket carry devices. I also have one mounted on my rifle with a pressure switch for nighttime threat assessment,

There are of course a lot of other flashlight options out there, but the two above options have been my favorite handheld flashlights I've owned. I highly recommend them if you are in the market.
